My Manifesto

“A manifesto is a public declaration of principles and intentions…derived from the Latin manifestum, meaning clear or conspicuous.” – Wikipedia

“A written statement declaring publicly the intentions, motives, or views of its issuer” – Merriam Webster Dictionary

  1. First and foremost, like pretty much all of us, I am a consumer. In my profession I treat people as I would like to be treated by the companies and professionals I am a customer or client of.
  2. I have chosen real estate as my career because I love people, earth, and structures.
  3. With every chance I have I strive to raise the bar of the real estate profession.
  4. I don’t view my job as “selling”, I view it as “servicing clients”. The service I provide to clients is helping them buy and sell their homes.
  5. Each client and each property are unique, and I treat them that way.
  6. When I commit to a client I put their best interest above mine. It is the law, it is the ethical thing to do, and it is good long-term business practice.
  7. I carefully listen to my clients’ needs. I try to put myself in a client’s position to the extent possible.
  8. I always give my honest opinion. If I don’t think you should buy a home, you’ll know immediately. If I don’t think you should sell your home, I will tell you. I have done it on several occasions and will continue doing it. At the end of the day, it is your decision, and I will do my best to help you achieve your goal.
  9. I do what I say I will do when I say I will do it. I do not make promises that I can not keep.
  10. I will not do anything that is even remotely unethical. Something can be legal yet still unethical. I will not do it.
  11. I never give advice that I would not follow myself.
  12. I believe in karma.
  13. I believe that continuous training, learning and self-improvement is the path to success. It is a responsibility I have both to myself and to my clients.
